Had Lunch today at Panca Peruvian Rotisserie in Oceanside,Ca. Don’t let the name fool you; Chef Iole Revilla does more than just great Peruvian rotisserie chicken and sandwiches. Since the remodel in December she has added a lot more traditional Peruvian dishes to the menu. I opted for two of her appetizers. The first was Anticuchos tender beef heart marinated in Peruvian spices, skewered, & served with a side of Peruvian corn, salsa criolla, & grilled potato. The beef heart was tender and flavor packed. I also had Causa Limena layers of ají amarillo flavored potato, shredded chicken tossed with home-made mayo, avocado slices, boiled egg slices, & fresh tomato slices. This is an eye catching cold appetizer that is really enjoyable. The appetizers I had could be shared by two people, I can pack food away and left full.
