On the way back from our Catalina Offshore trip we popped into Solace & Moonlight Lounge in Encinitas for lunch. Solace is one of three restaurants in San Diego county helmed by Chef Matt Gordon. His first was Urban Solace, then Solace & Moonlight Lounge, and recently Sea and Smoke in Del Mar. This was my first time eating at any of his restaurants and I was very pleased with my first visit.
Anytime I see sweatbreads on the menu I’m in. This was an appetizer and perfect for a light lunch. My companions had two salads a Kale and the “Bibbage” both looked great and I will be having the later on my next visit.
