Panca Peruvian Cuisine & Rottisserie is , if you have not guessed, is a Peruvian restaurant located at 1902 S. Coast HWY. Oceanside, CA. While I have posted about Panca previously I wanted to do a new “proper” posting; plus it fit in with my recent South American restaurant crawl I’ve been on.
Panca opened in Early 2012 helmed by Chef iole Revilla. In the beginging Panca mainly focused on bringing authentic Peruvian rotisserie chicken and sandwiches to north county. Around the year mark they did a remodel and changed from counter service based dinning to casual sit down dinning. At the same time they increased their selection of local beer and wine, while chef Ioli expanded the number of authentic Peruvian dishes and added a few of her own creations to the menu. In my opinion this is where the chefs talent shines through.
On my latest visit I had the following.
Papa Rellena ~ two soft potatoes stuffed with tender beef cooked in Peruvian spices, white onion, garlic, raisins, & a slice of hard-boiled egg, served with a side of Peruvian white rice & salsa criolla.
