I have been wanting to try Sea and Smoke for a while and while it is out of my usual coverage area …sometimes you have to make exceptions. The restaurant is Chef Matt Gordon’s third following Urban Solace and Solace and Moonlight Lounge respectively. I have never been disappointed by his food and Sea and Smoke proved no different.
The restaurant is located in the Flower Hill promenade. I have not been there since my high school days and the re-brand / remodel has made a huge difference and brought in some great artisan food shops like Venissimo Cheese & Wine Bar, and Dallmann Chocolate among others.
Sea and Smoke is a pretty big restaurant, dual level, all medium to dark wood tones.
Upstairs Lounge Area
I would consider the food “New American”.
Charred Octopus ~ Roasted Ancho pepper romesco, warm frisee, golden raisins, and green olives.
Bone Marrow ~ Roasted garlic, lemon, and parsley
