The Regal Seagull is the sister pub to the Regal Beagle in Mission Hills. It sits on Coast Highway just north of Leucadia Blvd. They describe themselves as an “Ale and Sausage House” which is pretty right on the nose.
The Bar is a clean and open space, the space itself is narrow and long, so I could see it getting crowded during busy periods. You order at the bar area and then pick up at the kitchen.
They have a good selection of micro brews on tap.
The menu focuses around sausages provided by local sausage maker T & H Prime Meats. There are about 8 choices and about 5 toppings. In addition they have Tater Tots, Soft Pretzels, and a salad and burger option on the menu.
German Garlic Sausage ~ Saurkraut, grilled peppers, Sandy rose butter milk roll, house made chips.
Note ~ It’s hard to get glamor food shots of a sausage, it is what it is, in this case delicious.
Soft pretzels ~ Stone mustard and Sweet and spicy mustard.
Note ~ I missed the plural part in pretzels, so most of this went home with me. Also service was excellent.
