Mission Ave. Bar and grill will debut later this month at 711 Mission Ave.in Oceanside.
The restaurant’s opening will co-inside with the completion of the Mission Ave. improvement project. That project will make Mission Avenue one-way between Clementine Street and Coast Highway with back-in angled parking, broader sidewalks, canopy trees along the street, benches for people to sit and bike racks at intervals along the street.
The Plywood hides two large “Garage Style” glass doors that will open allowing for an indoor / outdoor patio setting.
The New American menu from Chef Adam (last name withheld because I did not want to announce anything I wasn’t supposed to yet, but he did work as executive chef for La Jolla Ale House and The Compass in Carlsbad, so it is not hard to figure out) will feature twists on classic bar fare like lamb and bison sliders, crab stuffed mushrooms, and shrimp arrabata.
The bar will feature 39 California beers and 30 plus Bourbons and Whiskeys.
The restaurant and bar scene is exploding right now in Oceanside. The great thing is that not only are there more choices for dinning, it is that the quality of the food and Chefs continues to grow.
