So, I made it down to LTH to sample their Rehab Brunch this Sunday. I had mentioned in a previous post how great of a deal it was, after trying it I would say even more so. $20 for two drinks and a menu item can’t be beat.
It will only be around till football season starts, so get to it.
Chef Daniel running the pass.
LTH Chicken and Waffles ~ Triple breaded buttermilk fried chicken breast, belgium cheddar & bacon waffles, honey hot sauce, bourbon maple syrup, spiced watermelon.
Note~ Really great dish, well-balanced, and rides that line between sweet and savory. The thing that really holds it together is the bourbon maple syrup, regular maple syrup would have been too sweet. Same for the spiced watermelon the addition of the chili powder makes it work. The chicken was crisp and juicy and the waffle with the bacon and cheddar cheese again balanced the dish.
Ahi Tuna Butter Lettuce Ceviche Wraps ~ Crispy cilantro, spiced pepitas, avacado, Poblano peppers, lime.
Note ~ I sampled this dish from the lunch menu. Packed with flavor, light and refreshing. you can tell the big eye tuna they are using is high quality.
I did not have the following dishes but snapped some pictures from the pass.
Pulled Pork Hash and Eggs ~ Rajas, sunny side eggs, smoked Gouda, wild arugula.
Summer Fruit Place ~ Yogurt, granola, local Honey.
OOOOH! a wall…well it is but the reason I took a picture is LTH is going to have a local artist paint a mural on it and I wanted a before picture. I really want to stress after talking with Chef Daniel and the owner Gabe on multiple occasions, how dedicated they are to having LTH support and be an active part of the local community. They have lots of projects in the works, some of which are really ambitious and all of which are really cool.
